It was 10:28 PM PST when I heard the little beep from my phone to alert me that I had a new email; I secretly hoped it was about my Weddingbee application. I don’t know why on earth I would think this since I receive dozens of emails a day from friends, family, wedding vendors, junk, etc. The odds of receiving the most coveted email of acceptance at this time of night seemed absolutely absurd. I checked my phone to see “Weddingbee Application” in the subject line…then held my breath as I opened the email to read, “We’ve reviewed your application and blog, and think you’d be a great addition to the Weddingbee team!” I paused the TV (Eureka could wait!) and reread the email. The smile on my face must have rivaled that of a five-year-old’s upon receiving a pony for their birthday.

I ran to find Mr. Ticket sitting at his computer playing HON and kindly demanded he read the email from my phone. (I had to be sure I wasn’t dreaming this up.) He started reading then looked up at me and smiled, “Congratulations!” (OK, so I might have been babbling about Weddingbee for a few months now.)

Hi, hive!!! I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am to bee here (only cheesy pun, I swear!). I have been reading/following bees since only a few days after Mr. Ticket and I got engaged. I can’t wait to begin sharing our wedding adventures with you all. But before I get into all that, I suppose I should introduce myself!

I am Miss Ticket! Why Tickets, you ask? Well, Mr. Ticket and I have been through many many tickets throughout our relationship. Airplane tickets, movie tickets, theme-park tickets, etc. And we are looking forward to a lifetime of more tickets together. Also…this picture was one of my very first inspiration pictures when wedding planning began. It seems only fitting to fly with this theme.

Some things you should know about me…I’m a lifelong Socal gal, a chocoholic, a closet gamer, and a television enthusiast (love me some Vampire Diaries!) who adores playing in the kitchen and lives in flip flops. Mr. Ticket and I are best known for our singing and dancing in the car, World of Warcraft addictions, food adoring, crane-game playing, and general homebody ways. Oh and GO STEELERS!

We are planning a modest sized, colorful, fun, loving, sugar-coma-inducing soiree for late October of this year. And I can’t wait to fill you all in on the details, the fun ups, and the disappointing downs of all that is planning our wedding.
