Mr. Teaspoon and I are starting to think about our wedding bands. Well, what this really means is that I have been thinking about what type of wedding bands I like since before we were engaged, and now I’m making Mr. Teaspoon think about his band.

Apart from obviously my brand spanking new husband, one of the few things that will be part of our daily life will be our wedding bands. Making this quite a big decision. Luckily for me, the design of my engagement band helps me to determine what type of ring I could have. My ring is antique and quite distinct in its own right. Also, I knew that I only wanted the one ring that I could wear without my engagement ring, so that ruled out the enhancer-style ring:

The next option I looked at was a delicate pave-set diamond band. I like that this would not overpower my engagement ring, would sit nicely against it, and would also look beautiful on its own. The one thing that gets all up in my matchy matchy head is that the diamond size wouldnt really match the diamonds around the outside of my flower-style engagement ring.

Last but not least is the half-eternity, which I am absolutely in love with! This is what our jeweller has suggested, as he will create a custom ring with diamonds matching in size and shape and colour and clarity to those on my engagement ring!
