About Me: I’m a city girl who loves a good escape, so I’m planning a Chicago wedding outside of the city. I’ve been described as a quirky yet down-to-earth drama queen who loves fiercely. I used to be a scientist, but now I’m learning to navigate the world of non-profit organizations. I love cooking, blogging, shopping, and music, and movies (Hans Zimmer is my favorite movie composer). Mr. Kettle and I had a short courtship and now we have a happy home with our cat-who-thinks-she’s-people, Belle. We spend our days and nights with good food, live music, video games, family, and friends. Our wedding has become this wonderful excuse to bring together hundreds of people we can’t bear to be without. Our wedding party alone has over 30 people in it—with 3 sets of twins. I’m looking forward to lots of DIY projects and personal touches in every aspect of our wedding. With each decision, the wedding moves toward being a formal affair that is also, magically, a wild party.

Welcome! So I already adore you because… “I love cooking, blogging, shopping”, you have a “cat-who-thinks-she’s-people” and well 30 people in your bridal party is just amazing and I can’t wait to see it.
Holy crap, I think that’s the biggest bridal party I’ve ever heard of. (People in Switzerland are even dismayed when I tell them about 10 attendants). I’m slightly jealous of how awesome the photos are gonna look…. welcome!
Welcome! I just got married at the Patrick Haley Mansion on June 25th. It was amazing!
