We had soooooo much fun shooting our engagement photos! We met our photographers (Carrie & Jim) at Knotts Berry Farm at 5:00 PM on a Sunday (yay for twilight tickets—only $28.50!), and we started walking around the park. At first we were a little bit awkward. Mr. Ticket hadn’t met our photographers before (though he had seen them at work at Sister Ticket’s wedding), and we weren’t sure what to do. After walking around and talking for about 20 minutes, we got much more comfortable and just started being ourselves and not worrying so much about the camera. We had a few awkward shots where Carrie or Jim tried to pose us (we aren’t very good posers, darn us), but generally we just had a LOT of fun. Our photographers are totally awesome people and we love them. I can’t wait to work with them again on our wedding day, and I’m relieved to know that Mr. Ticket loved them, too, so hopefully he won’t be nervous around the camera on our wedding day.

Mr. Ticket, Carrie, and Jim made fun of me mercilessly for wanting to take pictures in the graveyard, but every part of that amusement park has fun memories for me! While these photos probably aren’t for everyone, they were perfect for us. They weren’t all staged or posed—a lot of these were just us being us! We love playing carnival games and crane-game machines. OK, we don’t generally feed each other…and if you notice the last two pictures you will see why! I couldn’t stop laughing as Mr. Ticket attempted to follow Jim’s instructions. I can’t help but smile when I see these pictures, because they remind me of how much fun we had that day. And that’s what pictures are supposed to be, in my opinion: awesome reminders of fun times in your life.
