Passport To Love: Tosses

August 16th, 2011 @ 7:00 pm by Mrs. Elephant

We weren’t hell bent on doing the traditional tosses since the single population in our crowd was very slim. I was ready to forgo them until I read Mrs. Hamster’s post on Weddingbee. Adding gift cards to the bouquet and garter would open it up to all guys and gals and we could get some awesome pictures.

Time for the guys. A little secret: I didn’t want Mr. E to throw a sweaty garter so I actually took off the bottom one right after we got a picture of putting it on. We slipped the second garter on right before it was time to toss.

The gift card idea is so good, you can tell it helps the guests get into the action!

This is a great idea! I felt awkward about only having single ladies try to catch the bouquet, this is a great way to still get the cute pictures without singling out a few of my friends. Thanks for the great idea!

I’m worried about the number of singles at our wedding as well. This is a great idea and it turned out so well for you!

I’m glad it was a hit too! Good thing you came up with a plan to get folks out to the floor. For my wedding, there will be so many unmarried people there, it’s not really a prob. Mr. Kettle and I are both only the second people in our respective group of friends to get married.

What a great idea! I was thinking of forgoing the bouquet toss already but a gift card would be a great way to get them all out there!!

Congratulation Mrs. Elephant,
Gift and Gift idea both are very good. Gift says lot thing sometimes when person fails to express feeling that time gift work.

Soon to be Mrs. C

Love the gift card idea. I was thinking about foregoing the whole bouquet toss, b/c most of our friends and family are married - but love this twist on the tradition.
