After several of our invitations went M.I.A we expected a few tardy responses but not nearly as many as we got. (Shame on you Macarons guests!) I assumed our mailbox would be overflowing with RSVPs on our deadline but we got nothing, save for one lonely envelope. I let out a large sigh as I reached inside for what I thought was just another piece of junk mail.

It might be a little hard to make out but it was from our friends on Capitol Hill!
Since we heard back from The Mice early on I’d completely forgotten about sending one to the White House. Let me just say I wish my cursive was this pretty; whoever addresses envelopes in the Greetings Office sure has some lovely handwriting. Inside was a flat printed piece of card stock with an embossed seal at the top.

I’m so glad we took the time to send out a few VIP invitations. In case you’re interested, you can mail yours to the following address:
The White House, Greetings Office, Room 39
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW
Washington, District of Columbia
20502
There’s no guarantee you’ll hear back but sending them out right around the six month mark seems to increase your chances. Already married but expecting? Send a birth announcement as I think they do something special for that as well.
