Dressing the Tables

August 19th, 2011 @ 11:54 am by Mrs. Teaspoon

We had a meeting with our wedding coordinator at our venue a few weeks ago and amongst other things, we discussed how our tables would look! While I was there and the dining room was empty before dinner started, I snapped a quick picture to show you what the tables will look  like at night!

So, to show her the sort of thing we would like in the middle of the tables, I grabbed a few pictures from the Internet as inspiration. I talked to Mr Teaspoon about it, and he thinks that all the pictures look the same… Boys.

Anyway, this first one I like, but I dont really think the colours of the flowers or the underwater feel will work with our tables, but it really reminds me of a hotel display that we saw in Scotland that looked beautiful! This one appeals to my simplistic nature; it’s very clean and separated, just like the aeroplane food that I love so much! (I’m not joking about loving airline food, by the way!)

Now, whilst clean lines and segregation are great in certain situations, our wedding probably isn’t the best one for that! So that sent me in pursuit of something slightly more romantic, such as these little beauties:

The all-white arrangements just dont quite give us exactly what we are going for though, so the photo that we have given to our venue is this:

We have asked for no pink carnations to be placed in the arrangements, though. We also probably won’t be placing ours on round mirrors, but they will match my bouquet and the boys’ flowers perfectly!

What do you think? All our little details are coming together!

Haha… those look like my centerpiece inspiration photos but in backwards order. Your last photo is what I started with, and I settled on something closer to your first photo, except with floating candles on top and river rocks at the bottom. They all look beautiful :)

@hisbahamamama: Planning on just replacing them with more roses.

Thanks everyone, glad you like them!

I went to one of the sites you linked and it is now the source of my floral inspiration. I’ve been trying to explain to my mother for months what I wanted when I said “flower boxes” and she didn’t get it. But now, armed with these photos, she will! Thanks so much!
