These Boots Are Made for…

August 31st, 2011 @ 3:34 pm by Mrs. Sunhat

Walking! Dancing! Struttin’ around!  My Ugg sparkle boots have arrived!

I mentioned before that the boots appeared to have a yellow tint to them in the online pictures. I was hoping that was just the lighting but, alas, they really do look like that in person. I would have called the color light or pale gold rather than silver. I was slightly disappointed at first, but then I tried them on.

Oh. my. goodness. I’ve been missing out all this time! They felt amazing, and I may have danced around a bit in them! I actually really like the color, and the wedding is a perfect excuse to own a pair of these bad boys. I realize I’m totally saying anything I can to justify buying these but, heck, they are paid for and I think they will look great in pics under my ivory dress. The major difficulty will be keeping them in their box until December 31st!

I promise to cool it on the shoe posts for a while—but shoes do play a big role on the wedding day, don’t they?!

So much fun! I love them!

Could it be that they look more gold because of the reflection of the cardboard and wood floor? Just an idea - they might look different in different light.

@Crabbabs: I took them into different rooms and held them up to different lights and they still have a slight yellow / gold tinge to them. I’ve gotten over that for sure!

I’m all for things that sparkle! (I swear I was a fish in another life!0 but I’m curious….how do you plan to wear them outside of the wedding? I’m miss practicality over here and couldn’t justify spending so much $ on something I couldn’t wear often. Do tell!

OMG! Not wearing bridal shoes are so hard! Mine are my something old, so I’ve had them for a while. I’ve only ever worn them out for my birthday last year and I’m dying to wear them again. But i’ll be good if you are too, deal?

omg- *love* them!!! I too am a december bride in search of shoes and I <3 (and am totally stealing) this idea! I’m not a traditional bride and I love the idea of wearing something fun and comfortable. Did you see zappos has a matching scarf: http://www.zappos.com/ugg-sequin-4-panel-scarf-light-grey ?I’m not trying to encourage impulse shopping ;) but I think they’d be adorable together!

@Mrs. Locket: I plan on wearing these as much as I can after the wedding! I guess I don’t know 100% that they will hold up in snow so I don’t plan on wearing them during really slushy days, but other than that is fair game. I commute to Chicago for work so I’ll wear them some days for my commute. I think they will look so cute with jeans. I don’t mind the sparkle as an every day boot!

@Jodi: OMG that is fabulous! But at $205? Yeah - I can’t justify that cuz I know I won’t get much wear out of it. The boots I hope to have for many seasons to come!
