The Eco-Fetti Review!

September 1st, 2011 @ 5:55 pm by Miss Petit Four

Remember my post about eco-fetti?

I found eco-fetti because our venue won’t allow real confetti, so we had to find some fun alternatives. So I did some Googlin’ and I found eco-fetti. I actually found some on Save on Crafts, and I ordered it up!

I got the package a couple of days later and, I have to say, I was a little disappointed. Now, don’t get me wrong—it was pretty cheap for a big bag of confetti. So, if you are looking for something cheap for people to chuck at you, then this could be your answer.

It kinda looked like chopped up styrofoam, which seems kinda weird since this stuff is biodegradable.

The Eco-Fetti Review! : wedding decor isla mujeres traditions Photo 103 I ordered the multi-color confetti.

I didn’t completely hate it, and I was willing to use it, but my mom vetoed the idea after she saw the confetti. I guess we will have to use rose petals, which will cost a lot more money. Yay. :/

I guess the quest for a reasonably priced, pretty, biodegradable confetti continues…

@Miss Petit Four: is that confeti something you can throw easily, it looks gluey.

I almost ordered this stuff (and am now kinda glad I didn’t :/, sorry) but decided to go with extremely cheap and completely biodegradable rice krispies!

That is some strange looking confetti. But I’m sure rose petals will look amazing!

I ordered the eco-fetti from beau-coup in white for my brother’s wedding. It didn’t look like that. It was more like flakes of snow, it was very easy to throw and the pictures are beautiful.
For my wedding, i’m having the lavender rice.

@MissJess rice krispies are an awesome idea! My venue only lets us throw flower petals (random), but if they were more flexible, rice krispies would have been a nice, cheap option you can get ready ahead of time. :D

You should check out this website: http://www.artistryinmotion.com/

We used the Clean Free Confetti and my dad said that the next morning it was able to be washed away with just water.
The pictures from our exit were some of my favorite from our wedding!

There is another website that sells this same kind of stuff, we used it at my sisters wedding at it looked like colored rice grains, but that dissolved. Not like this!

I thought that was a picture of a bag of Fruity Pebbles. So, I am right on board with that Rice Crispies comment!

We are using dried lavender buds for our toss. I ordered them off of ebay. I got 1 lb and it is a ton of dried lavender. We have more than enough and shipping was free.

We used ecofetti in white and pink, which looked much less weird, and was great in the photos. I think the styrofoam-ish look is because it’s made of corn starch? Good luck with your search!
