To my dear hive,

Last night I spent the night with my immediate family and my two closest girlfriends, but without Mr Teaspoon. It was a strange evening—I was excited to become Mrs Teaspoon the next day, but also a little sad, due to the fact that whilst in my heart I will always be part “maiden name,” it was my last night for me to be part of the family in name.

I am sitting at the kitchen table in my parents’ house while my Mum is making me poached egg. My Dad is complaining that he cannot wear his shoes due to his recent surfing injury, my brother is teasing him for being a sissy la la, and I am here writing my last post as Miss Teaspoon. I just got back from a walk down to the beach (it’s a little fresh for a swim and I forgot my swimmers anyway!), my bridesmaids are sitting around me eating breakfast, and I am getting married today!

I cannot believe this day is finally here! I know I have only been blogging here for a short time at the hive, but I do hope you have enjoyed my time here and have shared my excitement along this wedding planning journey. It has been an incredible experience to be a bee blogger—I absolutely cannot wait to show you every detail of our wedding in my recaps!

To Mr Teaspoon: you have giggled at me as I have had tears of happiness in my eyes throughout all of our wedding planning, and yet I am sitting here on the morning of our wedding with nothing but a perma-grin on my face. It still hasn’t really hit me that we are getting married today but I absolutely cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with you! OK, now I have a little tear… but shhhh, no one noticed.
