Representation of Theme

September 6th, 2011 @ 8:48 am by Mrs. Bacon

The other day a coworker sent me a link to mustache pillows at Urban Outfitters since she remembered our invitations. Of course, this snowballed into a mustache-seeking extravaganza.

Clearly those babies went immediately into our “Shopping Bag” and I started searching the site for any other mustache goodies that we could incorporate into the wedding. Who knew that Urban had so many mustache themed items?

We picked up all these goodies and I can’t wait to show them off next weekend… (OMG NEXT WEEKEND? When did that happen?)

Might be overkill to wear these with the necklace, but I’ll see what I can do to make it work

For the guys, we finally found the perfect socks for them to wear with their Chucks. Finding red and grey or red and black argyle socks for less than $8 a piece was really difficult and I’d pretty much given up on matching socks for the dudes. Then I stumbled on these babies and bought enough for all the men in the wedding: Groom, Groomsmen, Dads, Granddad and the Officiant, Uncle M. I’m kind of obsessed, and now I wish that we had gotten one more pair for myself…

Then of course there were other mustache goodies that I couldn’t figure out how to integrate this late in the game, but I’m going to share them with you.

I actually got this mug for the Baconator a couple years ago as part of his Christmas present after he participated in Movember with his buddies.

There is clearly a mustache trend sweeping the nation and we are so excited to be able to incorporate this fun little piece of facial hair into our wedding. We love that we were able to find these items at a store we usually think of for clothes and snarky books rather than having to rack our brains to find them in some kind of a wedding superstore.

Did you find any last minute items at an unexpected place?

@soyjoy222: I do what I can to get those LOLs!
@Miss Sunhat: NO WAY! That’s the best ever!
@dustywrath: I have a feeling that the Best Man might sport a mustache, but I more ore less forbade the Baconator since I knew he’d regret it later.
@xtatic1: AH! I feel like it totally snuck up on us!
@hisbahamamama: Um, those are amazing! I wish I’d seen those earlier! No red lip paraphernalia other than the lips on the ladies and our escort cards.

You should wear the mustache earrings while you are getting ready the day-of. You know, all the lead up pics where you are chillin & having brunch, getting hair (less likely to get caught by stylist/yourself!) & make-up done etc etc. Then change from those into your wedding day jewelry (which would probably make for awesome photos). Obviously, you must carry a sign saying THANK YOU CANDACE!!! if you do this. Obvi.
