So, I put off two important factors of the wedding until now—hair and makeup. Oops. Tonight I made an appointment for a hair trial, which is supposed to take place on Sunday. I’m in the midst of working out a time for my makeup trial, but hopefully it will be the same day so I an see how it all works together.

I wasn’t really sure exactly what I wanted to do. For makeup, I wanted to look pretty and not go too heavy since I rarely wear makeup to begin with. I want to look pretty and fresh but not over the top. I Googled up a few pictures:

Pretty eyes, slightly flushed cheeks, soft pink lip color. That’s what I’m going for!

As for hair, I knew I wanted to wear it down with soft curls. I used Google image search with “medium hair loose curls down” and found this picture of Elizabeth Banks.

Definitely on the road to what I’m looking for, but not quite there. Then, I remember Hermione Granger always has really pretty curls. I can never remember the actress’s name (I always just remember it’s Emma something, and I’m never even positive about that.) So I just Googled “Hermione Granger hair” and even though I specifically mentioned hair, I still found a bunch of weird pictures. Apparently, poorly Photoshopping that poor girl’s head on naked bodies is a big past time for a lot people. I’ve learned so many new things while wedding planning!

Anyway, there were also several pictures of Emma Watson (yes, that’s her name!) where her hair looked nice, like this one:

I’m definitely wanting it to be pretty, not newscaster-like. That’s my biggest fear since this style can go either way. I’m hoping everything turns out great at the trial, and since I’m requesting pretty simple looking stuff, I’m pretty confident. If I had any talent at this sort of thing, I could probably do it myself. But beauty routines are not my forte, and I’m happy to leave hair and makeup in the hands of professionals.
