Not that kind, silly.

This kind…

Big Packages : wedding decor isla mujeres seating Downloa03 Oh! Well, hello there! What could be in this carefully packed box, you ask???

Big Packages : wedding decor isla mujeres seating Downloa04 Big Packages : wedding decor isla mujeres seating Downloa05 My sand dollars!!!

I am using these little beauties for my sand-dollar place cards like these…

Here is my first shot at it. I bought a pen that has a thin point and a thicker point, so I decided to try both of them out.

Big Packages : wedding decor isla mujeres seating Downloa06 Thick point

Big Packages : wedding decor isla mujeres seating Downloa07 Thin point

I am thinking that I like the thin point for the table number and the thick point for the name. I am also trying to decide if I should write “Mr.” and “Mrs.” on the sand dollars. Knowing myself so well, I ordered, like, ten extra sand dollars to experiment with. It also gives me a chance to work on my penmanship. ;D

I ordered these sand dollars from qualityshells.com, and they are perfect!! They are three inches and just the right size for writing names and table numbers on them. They packaged them very carefully, which I took notes on since we will have to take them to Mexico with us!

What do your place cards look like? Are you going with standard paper, or are you trying something a little more fun?

They look great!! I went to a beach wedding the beginning of this year and she used those too and it was a nice favor to take home, I actually used it as a decoration. I am planning on making cake pops for my place cards.

Your place cards look amazing! I am thinking about doing an etched glass thing. I can do it for about the same price as paper escort cards - a couple hundred dollars. It might be too much though. So I might do the chalkboard route if I can!
