So Mr. Skunk is out of state on a work trip. When we got notice, we were right at 10 weeks out and knew it was about time to pick out menswear. My groom knows he wants to wear a vest, but I want him to look different from the rest of the guys…a little mo’ special. I know I definitely want it to look pretty casual, so sleeves rolled up will be a must.

Suspenders! I think I like the first picture best. While I gave the ladies free rein, I’ve been requested to offer the boys guidelines. So I’m thinking I’ll send these:

white button-down shirt
dark gray or brown pants
suspenders
pageboy cap

I’m wanting to get the boys’ ties myself and get mismatching striped ones from a vintage store in town. Now as far as shoes, the ladies are all wearing cowboy boots. The mister is NOT a cowboy-boot-wearing dude in the least bit. As a matter of fact, besides his drumming and climbing shoes, I’ve never known him to pay much attention to shoes. I suppose we’ll table that discussion for now and come back to it soon.

What’re your guys wearing on their feet? Did you find that the guys took a little more attention than your girls?

Mine really wanted a camo suit, I said no We compromised on camo socks instead. I agree, guys take way more work than girls which is just ridiculous haha.

that’s going to look amaze balls together! your FI is precious and will look great in it : ) i just downloaded that sleeve-rolling instructional last weekend myself!! FI was like… “dude, i know how to roll my sleeves.” i gave him the “but now i know if you do it RIGHT” look

I love how fun and handsome the guys in the first picture look. FI’s a big enemy of suspenders so I’m sure he won’t let me do that, so I’ll live through you.
