Schminvitations!!! Part II

September 22nd, 2011 @ 6:28 am by Mrs. Skunk

So now that I’ve left you in dire suspense, I think it’s time I share with you the final proofs that I got from Alison over at Orange81. Seriously, y’all, she was the best.

Shut the front door! Details I’ve been swooning over?

  • The original invite only had the little dog silhouette. I asked if by chance we could add two cats. She did.
  • The reply options! I’d been going back and forth over this. I had thought about the “with bells” responses during my DIY phase, but worried that folks wouldn’t get it. I think what Alison came up with is simple and witty.
  • Wraparound labels! Yay!

We’ve opted to address them ourselves, but I’m thinking that a little date with my future sister-in-law and a bottle of wine, and we’ll have these babies done in no time.

I love them! I also love the dogs and cats, and the RSVP options are very clever - I’ve never seen that before!

I also thought about using the bells wording on the RSVP cards (mainly because I’m marrying a Bell!) but when he didn’t get it I realized many people wouldn’t and scrapped the idea too. Love your suite!

@Miss Ladyfingers: I know, right!? The sample shows only a dog, but Mr. Skunk has two cats, so Alison added them in too!

@coasterkim: Awww! That would’ve been super cute, and if you invited me, I would’ve totally shown up with bells on! I wanted to use it so bad, but I’m pretty happy with the cute little ‘in body’ ‘in spirit’ that we got.
