Mrs. Lioness, Atlanta Age and Occupation: 25, Physical Therapist Fiance's Age and Occupation: 25, Attorney Engagement Date: August 29, 2009 Wedding Date: April 2011 Venue: Anthony’s Fine Dining About Me: I’m a Southern girl with New England roots. I say "wicked" and "y’all" in the same sentence and I like to drink sweet tea with my lobster. Mr. Lion and I are both former Floridians now living in Atlanta, which fortunately is still SEC country...Go Gators! We both love baseball, coffee, traveling, cooking, and playing Words with Friends with each other on our iPhones all day long. I’m very passionate about the things and the people I love, and I tend to plan things with all of my heart...our wedding, of course, is no different! Oh, and also Mr. Lion is a first generation American of Cuban descent. I may look more like Lucy than Ricky, but I’m doing my best to incorporate some Latin elements into our vintage-garden-Southern wedding!

Love is Where We Are: The Little Things

September 23rd, 2011 @ 10:07 am by Mrs. Lioness

One of the greatest parts of your wedding day is getting to notice all the little details. We had dropped everything off at the venue the night before, left specific instructions, and hoped for the best. After working so hard on something, it’s simply amazing to see it all come together. Since I hadn’t actually set it up myself, it was like finding a little surprise on every corner.

I found our goofy picture table numbers:

Sister Lioness’ invitation suite that I was so proud of:

My two pairs of shoes:

These little accessories:

And finally, my favorite little set up: the chair, the window, and a memorial frame to honor our loved ones who couldn’t be there.

That window was my favorite detail, by far! Unfortunately, immediately after the ceremony, a gust of wind blew it over and it shattered. I was glad the wind waited until after it had served its purpose!

What is/was your favorite wedding detail?

Mrs. L, I’ve loved your wedding from the start but just had to say that I used that wire bird cage “frame” from world market at my wedding, too! I used 2 of them for my seating chart! It made me smile when I saw yours!

Ah! Tragic about your window breaking—so glad you got your use out of it first! Love all your details, Mrs L!

I absolutely LOVE your window! We have so many friends that will be attending our ceremony that are important to BOTH of us. I don’t want any of them to feel like they have to choose between us. So sorry it met an untimely demise!

Love the little details, the best part as always.
Where did you get the other pair of shoes (the ones with the green bottoms)?

@doxie: Yay! I’m so glad! Love World Market.

@Mrs. Penguin: I think my florist was more sad than I was…she wanted to buy it off of us! I was just glad it served its purpose :)

@Miss Fox: I thought the same thing! Yay for a little ballet inspiration!

@FootballGirl: They’re Nina. Their website actually has a DIY function where you can design your own custom shoes…so I just had plain old ivory but then made the sole green! They were way more expensive, but totally worth it. I loved that they were classic with a twist!

I’m jealous of your mailbox. Mr. Skunk and I have been hunting one down to no avail!
