While we wait for our professional shots to come back from the photographer, there are still a few details that I would like to share with you that I didn’t have the chance to do before the wedding.
Our wedding bands! So, you saw my inspiration. Now we are finally sporting these little beauties every day. Although Mr Teaspoon did have to hide mine until our wedding day, because I just wanted to wear it!
They are exactly what we wanted—a simple band for Mr Teaspoon and a blingy ring for me. Of course, I had to break out the camera and give them a little photo shoot!
Now, our rings are actually linked together in more ways than most. You see, my beloved engagement ring Gladis belonged to Mr Teaspoon’s grandmother and when he gave it to me it was a little large so I went to the jeweler and had it resized. All pretty normal for an heirloom ring. However, the jeweler had cut out about 8mm (about 1/3 inch) of gold to fit it on my finger, so we had a sizable piece of gold sitting around. Where was the perfect place for it? If you guessed melted into Mr T’s wedding band, you are on the money! It’s so sweet having a history to our rings.
Do any of your rings have history?
