Ladies and gentlemen,
Can I please have your attention? I’ve just been handed a very urgent news bulletin…

RUN to Priscilla of Boston. No seriously, run, because some of those dresses are in tiny sizes.

As most of you may already know, Priscilla of Boston is going out of business. It makes me especially sad as a designer to see one of Boston’s premier brands disappear. However, you can get fantastic deals on amazing dresses. Hence all the running…and cannonballing.
Friday I received a call from one of my friends. She recently asked me to be in her April wedding, and we’ve been having a lot of fun scouring New England for photographers and dresses and whatnot. If you happen to be in the North Shore area of Massachusetts, I highly recommend Bella Bridal Shoppe. OMG, what a special experience the owner creates for each bride! Anywho, my friend called me and asked if I’d like to go to Priscilla of Boston on Saturday because she’d just received an email alert that all party dresses and bridesmaids’ dresses were $24.99.
No, I’m not missing a digit. The dresses (excluding the wedding gowns) are 24 dollars and 99 cents. I’ll let that sink in for a moment…
The wedding gowns are 50% off! Fitty percent…that’s a metaphor for change. Change your clothes and get your bridal butt to PoB!
My friend had to pry me off this little ditty right here.

Actually, she dared me to try it on. I almost broke down and tried it on except my pregnant ass was not fitting into the size six. How classy would I have looked in that thing with a bump?
I hear Saturday’s sale was just a one-day thing, but I am positive that they will have another one. All the accessories were 50% off too, and they had some really cute head pieces and jewelry. They still have a great selection of wedding gowns and party dresses. They didn’t have many duplicate bridesmaids’ dresses, but I thought it would be perfect for those of you who are having just one attendant or who are having non-matching bridesmaids.
Make sure to sign up for the sale alerts on the PoB website here.
My friend and I left the store with three dresses collectively priced at $75 dollars ($95 if you count the parking ticket we received because we were so excited to get to the store we forgot to pay the meter). When could you ever leave PoB in the past and only have paid $75?! I wasn’t planning on buying anything, but I thought of the five weddings we have lined up for next summer and swiped my card.
The Boston store, entrance located at 45 Fairfield Street next to Newbury (now don’t go getting yourself in trouble on Newbury and blaming me!), will be open until December 31st, according to the sales associate I asked. I have heard most stores are closing in November. I wouldn’t sit on your hands for too long, though, because obviously the selection will dwindle rapidly with the discounts they are offering.
Have you gotten a PoB dress? Did you go to the sale? I want to know about your experience!
