About Mrs. Hot Wings

Videos…Oh Videos

September 28th, 2011 @ 2:53 pm by Mrs. Hot Wings

This proposal gets me on so many levels! It’s at my alma mater (go Bruins!), and it’s got flash-dancing organized by Flash Mob America. As far away from our wedding as I am (over one year now), I still get all sappy over wedding proposals. No one wants to forget their proposal, but I’m so happy this couple gets to relive this moment and that we all get to share in their happiness through this video.

Video via YouTube

With that said, I wanted to report to the hive the nastiness that I have had to encounter with my own wedding video in the last couple weeks. As you may know, I finished recapping our wedding a little bit ago. I had planned to wait for our special footage on DVD to use as my final post. Sadly, when the box came to our apartment building via UPS, someone stole the items. No, not just stole the package. That would be a crime, but it get worse. The person ripped the box open, stole the contents inside (our DVD and a hard drive of all our wedding raw footage), then left the box in the lobby empty. The freaking A-hole wanted us to know the package arrived and was stolen!

Evidence? Here.

I cannot begin to tell you how sick to my stomach this incident has made me! I am beyond disgusted. I put up a note in the lobby practically begging the person for our video back. It didn’t work. Our building management hasn’t exactly been the most helpful. I have met a bunch of my neighbors because of this incident. We’re all pretty disgusted by it.

Our videographers, Omnistories, have followed up with UPS and are working on sending us a new DVD and hard drive. We’re lucky to have a vendor willing to work with us to make it right. Please remember to ask for all packages to be delivered requiring a signature. I know it can be annoying, but this situation has been even worse.

Now, I’m perturbed! I’m going back to the top and watching that video again. I need to remember the love in this world. The wedding drama never ends, does it?

That is HORRIBLE! My roommate had a new laptop sent today because hers broke, and UPS knocked on our door and by the time I opened it the driver was already down the street- they totally were going to just leave a computer on the porch!

Cute video though… it’s funny I JUST two seconds ago was looking at this flash dance proposal. It’s super cute too!

Seriously, I can’t believe someone stole you wedding DVD from you?? Who would want that? Thank goodness your vendor is working with you to get you additional copies!

The proposal is so cute! But…can I just say that I don’t like how her response to his proposal is “well, duh?” Say yes!!

What terrible person would steal someones wedding video!? All I can say is that whoever did that must be a very unhappy person so I pity them.

really adorable video proposal tho, made me tear up!

I’m so glad that your videographers are willing to work with you guys on getting new footage because this would be completely heartbreaking if it was lost forever. What an awful ordeal!!!

Agree with Gazelle - that guy was so sincere but that girl was so rude! Also, why did she keep interrupting his sweet proposal with her rude comments about him being cheesy?!

I agree with emileee’s comment, this was so beautiful and spontaneous and heartfelt, but dagnabbit the soon-to-be bride was just being rude and too harsh with her comments! To the soon-to-be-groom: You are amaaaazingly romantic and sweet, lots of love and all the best for your future!! <3<3<3

The guy was so sincere and sweet, the girl…not so much. Didn’t like her interruptions and rude comments.

@zippitydoodah: Me too! I didn’t cry doing our proposal because I was so surprised I didn’t believe it was actually happening, but definitely cried watching this.
