One of the easy decisions Mr. Warbs and I made concerning the wedding was our engagement-sesh location. Without a doubt our favorite place to be is in our own backyard, downtown Long Beach. After all, it was here that we began the next phase of our lives together. From moving in together, getting engaged, and countless amazing nights, the city has witnessed some huge moments in our relationship. And it’s pretty awesome.

We spend most of our time bouncing back and forth between The Pike, Rainbow Harbor, and Pine Street. On Sunday we walked around some of our favorite spots to take notes for the engagement sesh. Our photographer isn’t familiar with the area, so we wanted to make sure we had a clear path set for the day. Time for gratuitous photo time!

Great thinking taking notes before your session! We took ours on some farming land. We had a tie to it just like you do to Long Beach.

omg we are thinking of doing LB too!! We met there and I went to school there (hence my name =) plus we love it!!!! question, where is that painting of the woman it’s amazing!! have you considered the we love lb mural? just a thought

I loved seeing these pics! Me and my fiance are getting married at the First Congregational Church of LB on Cedar Ave then having the reception at the Reef Restaurant. Even though we live in South OC, aside from my fiance playing for the Long Beach Armada in years past, we arent too familiar with Long Beach. We are having a blast learning about this adorable place. Cant wait to spend our Anniversaries exploring the city even more!

Oh also, we are having a hard time finding a suitable restaurant to host the rehearsal dinner. We would like a semi-affordable place in downtown LB and a private room is desired. Anyone familiar with LB have any suggestions? So far its looking like Rock Bottom Brewery, but we dont love their $1k minimum…

I love all the LB love in this post and in the comments as well! Talk about bringing out all the LB people in one post! And while I don’t live there anymore, it is where I grew up and where I still consider home.
