About Mrs. Funnel Cake

One Month

September 29th, 2011 @ 2:18 pm by Mrs. Funnel Cake

Wow, hive, one month left!

The mister has packed his bags, and tomorrow is his last day at work before he heads to the Swiss military for the remainder of our engagement period. By the time he comes back, we’ll both be packing to head to the US and our honeymoon.

At this point we have most things taken care of and I feel like everything is under control, but the departure of Mr. Funnel Cake still stresses me. For the last couple weeks I’ve been frantically hurrying to get lots of projects, decisions, and tasks done because I know that after this week Mr. Funnel Cake is MIA. If I need his help *coughtrilingualprogramcough* then it would have to be this week.

Now I’ve got 30 days (OK, a little less since we fly to Columbus early) to finish the last projects, catch the hive up on everything we’ve been up to, and get my butt to the airport. Our dance class is over, we’re (hopefully) finally talking to our priest tonight, and on Saturday we’re both having our respective last-minute Polterabends (which I’m really excited about!).

Did you have to do part of your wedding planning alone? What stressed you in your final weeks of planning?

Oh, I totally feel your pain, Funnel Cake! Mr. P and I were separated for the three months leading up to our wedding, and in the last month, he started law school. Needless to say, it was stressful, and I really would have liked his input and help on so many of my DIY projects. But it all worked out in the end! Hang in there!
