Daddy Dearest

Daddy Dearest : wedding atlanta family Dad01

This one’s for you cool dude!

End of story, no questions asked, I’m a daddy’s girl. My dad is my rock and I love him so incredibly much. I thought picking out our daddy/daughter dance song was going to be really hard since I wanted it to be absolutely perfect. But really, a song came on the radio that was perfect and put me in tears. That was that.

My dad likes to joke that the scar on my back is from where they had to remove my wings because Earth wasn’t ready for an angel like me. Cheesy, I know. I barf a little when I hear it too. But it’s okay ’cause it’s coming from my daddy.

These lyrics just speak to how my dad has supported all of my decisions (and indecision) through the years, and no matter what, he’s always there for me cheering me on. We used to go to a lot of daddy/daughter dances when I was younger, so I can’t wait to show off our moves again!

“When you’re soaring through the air

I’ll be your solid ground

Take every chance you dare

I’ll still be there”

And Nickel Creek is just amazing in my book.

Awww, that’s so cute! I’m sure you and your dad will have a blast dancing at your wedding. We chose “Sherry” by Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons because we both love that song and my dad had been begging me to take him to see Jersey Boys on Broadway for forever. I finally scored us tickets during one of his trips to NYC, and we had a blast! We were singing all the way home, but “Sherry” was our favorite!
