Everyone has really been pushing for engagement pictures. We just didn’t see the point. We hadn’t lined up our wedding photographer, it would be another thing to plan and another thing to pay for, and it seemed so secondary compared to future wedding pictures.
Still, they magically happened. The other weekend Mr. Raccoon was in town and we had my dad snap a few pictures of us. Here are some sneak peeks!
I think they’re sweet and turned out nicely!
How did you choose your photographer? Did anyone else have a friend or family member take their engagement photographs?
I had a friend take mine as well for the exact same reason as you, and they turned out so well that we booked a second day to try again! We had so much fun, but the sun was being tricky so we are going back earlier and on a day that we both feel well. LOL
We did the same thing! Actually my mom took the pictures! Now though we get “free” engagement pics with our wedding package. not sure what I’m going to do about that.

Lucky bride to have such a talented and helpful dad! You two appear to be so relaxed in front of the camera, probably because you already know and trust the man behind it. 
My friend took ours and they were amazing. I love the last one with the Scrabble tiles, too!
