Look what we did yesterday:
What’s that, you ask? Why those are our save the dates! After weeks of assembling, printing envelopes, stuffing, stamping, checking names, and rechecking names, we finally were finished. We decided to celebrate with some of my new favorite wine from Amador County. Yes it comes in a jug. Yes that makes it taste better. Don’t ask me how, it just does.
I can’t wait to reveal them to everyone, but they need a little time to make it to our guests’ mailboxes. Speaking of mailboxes, I wanted to take that obligatory picture of us dropping our envelopes into the big blue mailbox at the post office. As we were getting ready to leave for the post office, we both realized that wait—we can’t drive. We had celebratory wine, which means no driving. I had to settle for our boring old dirty mailbox in front of our house.
Oh well. Our trusty mailman can pick them up for us. We are both very excited to officially have sent our save the dates. I can’t wait to show you more of what is in those white envelopes.

OOOoo! I can’t wait to see them! And at least you have a mailbox with a flag to flip! We are in an apartment with a plain ol’ pick-up grey box…. as part of all the boxes… not cute at all.
I miss our old flip flag! Our cul-de-sac somehow got a grey box like apartments have… Lame!

Ahh! That is awesome that you’ve sent our your save the dates! We are getting married in April & still have not even begun to think about them! It will happen, though…I am determined to have a cutesy e-pic of my FI & I on our friend’s & family’s fridges! Lol.

yeah!! congrats!! and yes wine in a Jug does make it all better. Our favorite winery in Amador (location of our wedding) also does jugs and we love it. I will have to check out the one you are holding too!
