Mrs. Seal, San Francisco Age and Occupation: 25, Personal Assistant Fiance's Age and Occupation: 29, Sales and Support Specialist Engagement Date: December 12, 2009 Wedding Date: November 2011 Venue: Sts Peter and Paul Church/The Bently Reserve About Me: I am a goofy, wannabe crafty, well-intentioned Renaissance Woman (OK, perhaps "aimless wanderer" is a more aptly suited term for me, but hopefully you get the point)—basically I dabble in just about everything and pride myself in such. Without warning, I occasionally breakout into soulful improvised songs and interpretive dances and there's just no stopping me! As so many others before me, planning our wedding has unearthed a deep, intense passion for all things bridal and I secretly fear the day it will come to an end. Mr. Seal and I are quite the pair and life with him by my side is extremely rewarding—I am so thankful to have found him. Together we are planning a black-tie San Francisco affair for 250—light on the stuffiness and with lots of extra Seal-y flair.
About Mrs. Seal

THE Band.

October 6th, 2011 @ 8:28 am by Mrs. Seal

Woo hoo, hive! I’ve got some great news. ;) After over a year of searching, I’ve found a wedding band to pair with my engagement ring.

In case you all forgot what my e-ring looks like, here’s a refresher!

THE Band. : wedding rings san francisco Wedding019 wedding019

This puppy is a three-stone diamond ring with 10 additional diamonds on the sides.

It’s gorgeous and I love it but it didn’t come as a bridal set. In other words, we had to track down a matching band on our own. Originally, I wasn’t too concerned about it and had fun trying on different styles. And then, after leaving the fifth jewelry store empty-handed, I became discouraged. I eventually ended up buying a band I wasn’t crazy about but when I returned home and confirmed I was less-than-enthused with my choice, I decided to return it. So, as I normally do when let down, I put it all to the back of my head and forgot about finding a ring.

Until finally, about two weeks ago, I realized I really needed to find and purchase my wedding band because this wedding is rapidly approaching, whether I ignore it or not.

I thankfully had some help. FSIL Tracy and her mom come over every week for health chats and general catching up—I noticed her channel set wedding band and asked if I could take it for a test drive with my e-ring. She gladly obliged and I, then and there, decided I needed to find a ring just like it.

And after some online research, the Sealman and I invested in this beauty.

(Don’t mind my jacked up nails, I missed a trip to the salon)

Theeeen, perhaps for our fifth first anniversary…I’ll get another ring for the top. (Except mine will be white gold.)

The top ring is borrowed from FSIL Tracy’s mama for this photo-op. I approve of the symmetry.

What do you guys think? How difficult (or easy) was it for you to find your band?

Yay - you found one! It looks gorgeous with your e-ring. And just because we’re twins, I have to add that I went with a channel set ring, too. :-)

I think you and I have the same e-ring! We went with a channel set wedding band as well, it paired with the e-ring far better than anything else we looked at!

Your ring is lovely–what a sparkler!

My ering orignally belonged to my future husband’s great grandmother and had a matching band with the same intricate gallery work. But somewhere in the 93 years between when she received it and when it was given to me, the set was divided between relatives, and the band has long since been lost track of. :(

Since we were lucky enough to only have to pay to have the family ring sized and cleaned, we elected to have a matching band designed to fit it exactly (isn’t technology amazing?) and we get the model back next week to approve for casting. We were also fortunate to have a lovely set of small diamonds that were a gift from my FMIL that were the perfect size to set in the band.

The whole thing worked out pretty perfectly!

Beautiful ring! But can I say you have the best hands (weird compliment I know). Your nails are gorgeous. Mine always look like I was just digging ditches with my hands.

I like the nonmatchy matchyness of it - your e-ring makes such a statement on it’s own, and the band accents and shows it off without being too much, I think. Love!

Goooorgeous!!!! Mine is a 3 stone and finding a band is difficult. I’ve always liked the look of having a band on top and bottom, but then again that’s double the pretty penny. I still need to find the right one…maybe someday I’ll get another for the top too :)
