I’m giving Mr. Skunk two gifts. I’m fairly certain he knows what one of them is because he’s seen the box. The other is to throw him off. I’ll discuss the latter first.

My nickname for Mr. Skunk has always been Crazy Squirrel. Soon after we started dating, I gave Mr. Skunk a really silly card involving a crazy squirrel. Mr. Skunk isn’t all that crazy, nor does he really resemble a squirrel, but in any case, it stuck. He’s also a drummer. So when I saw this shirt on a customer at one of the farmer’s markets, I knew I had to have it for him.

I just contacted the Etsy seller, and I’m having one made into a grey thermal for Mr. Skunk so he can wear it during boulder season. It’s so perfect and he’s not going to expect it at all.

The reason I’m pretty sure he knows what the other gift is is because the box says, “Photos: Do Not Bend.” You see, a couple months ago, I was approached by one of our photographer friends and asked to pose for some climbing photos. He planned to get a couple of friends to do them. I was very excited and then he told me his inspiration. Stone Nudes. I won’t post examples since they’re very NSFW; I’m sure you can imagine. And if not, Google it. You won’t be disappointed. They really are beautiful.

So a couple of climbing/photo sessions later and he posted pictures on a protected part of his site of not only me, but also Mr. Skunk. They were amazing. I was blown away. My friend called and wondered if I would be interested in having any printed so he could test some new metallic photo paper. Before this, I was only doing this to help him with his project. I got to choose one of each of us and now I’ve got to get them framed. I can’t wait to gift these to the mister. One of my ’must have’ photos  is Mr. Skunk’s reaction when he opens them.
