Hairspiration

In addition to the super awesome gifts I have planned for my ladies, I’m also paying to have their hair done by my awesome stylist. I’ve been going to see Becca since I first moved in town and haven’t seen anyone since. She’s seriously amaze balls.

I sent a quick email to everyone to find out what they want so that I could give Becca an idea on timing. BM C. Bear and C. Koala want their hair down in loose curls with either a half french braid or just some pieces pulled back.

BM L. Bug is smitten with low messy buns. You know the ones that look like you just effortlessly rolled out of bed with an amazing thrown together bun, but in reality sat in a stylists chair for over an hour? Yea. Those. I’m kinda smitten too.

BM J. Snake is going with a half up half down style as well but with a little more up than the other two ladies. A little like this on Jada Pinkett Smith.

Now when it comes to my hair, I just can’t decide! Part of me wants a massive bee hive that I could put the little bee charms coming my way in. When else will I have an excuse to wear something quite so…big? But the rational side of me knows I’m too cheesy for my own good. And that with the mantilla veil I will be wearing…

…I know that that just won’t work. I’ve been looking my little heart out too for inspiration, but the problem with my veil is that it’s attached to a massive fancyish clip that almost resembles a wedding cap. So the veil will be worn pretty far forward on my head like in my mom’s picture. I want curly hair too, but my hair doesn’t curl well. I think I’ve come up with a compromise though. Something like this half up half down curly hair for the ceremony/ veil wearing time.

Then when it comes time to change into my party time reception dress, I can throw it all up into a messy low chignon a la BM L. Bug.

What do y’all think? Is it okay to be a two hair-bride too?! Does anyone else have to plan their hairstyle around their veil?

Oooh I like the idea of two hair styles! Very cool! I hadn’t thought of that, but a very cool idea!

I like your idea! It shouldn’t be too hard to throw your hair up into a purposefully messy bun - gotta pull the hair back for dancing and a good time!

I think you could totally pull it off! I love the half up and half down look, it will go perfectly with your veil!

Although my first vote totally goes to the beehive ‘do, I understand why that may not be an option hahahahaha. I think your idea for 2 hairstyles is great!
