Cake toppers are probably some of the most adorable things ever created.

I saw these Kokeshi doll toppers and thought it was pretty awesome that they could be customized to look like the bride and groom. They’re something I could imagine not just keeping, but keeping on display forever.

It was my inability to resist an impulse buy when walking through Joann Fabrics that ended up choosing our topper. I got two wooden frog cutouts. They were prefect! Green is one of our colors, and it was about time to include some of Mr. Raccoon’s interests. I don’t think he could care less about how the napkins get folded even if he tried.

Personalizing them was fun! I just glued on a little pinch of lace to make the veil and got a small purple craft flower in a pack from Wal-Mart to make the boutonniere. I used paint that was sitting around to make the ring and then a Sharpie to do the eyelashes, hair, and beauty mark.
