Sometimes I forget exactly how lucky I am, but this shower was a clear reminder! It was a great day spent with family, future family, good friends, and games. Oh, I love games! I hope everyone there did too, because the hostess planned a lot of them!

We had the classic toilet paper bride. After counting off by threes, five minutes just was not enough time to bring our genius visions to life. Ten minutes was just about right.

Keep Things Spicy had little plastic cups numbered 1-10 each with a different spice inside.

Guests had a paper numbered 1-10 that they put their guesses on. I thought I would do so well but I didn’t even come close. I can’t remember all of the spices used, but there was definitely dill, garlic powder, cumin, chili powder, cinnamon, and tarragon. I heard it’s best to not use blends of spices or pepper for this game. There’s also a different version of the game where all of the choices would be white.

My favorite of the day was definitely the Candy Bar Match!

Everyone played Shower Bingo to make gift opening a little more fun. Guests filled in the squares with things they thought might be in the gift bags and boxes.

They also said that the number of ribbons broken while opening gifts would be the number of little raccoons Mr. R and I would have. I was a little too careful and by the end I started trying to purposely rip ribbons. This was not an easy feat since most of them were fabric. I needed some scissor assistance.

Wait, I can’t skip talking about the food! The food was so pretty and delicious! We had homemade Spanakopita, grilled chicken tenders, a fruit platter, a vinaigrette and berry salad, and the best peach sangria I have ever had. There were even orange pineapple cupcakes for dessert!
