When my friend Blue would find herself at the end of a long evening and ready to go to bed, she would say that she was about to turn into a pumpkin. We started calling it “pumpkining” for short.
As the evening drew to a close, Mr. Waffle and I were definitely on our way to pumpkining. Mr Thrill started up our last dance music.

At this point of the evening, I don’t have any other pictures to share. Our photographers, Nadine and Perrie Belle, were off the clock. I think this photo sums it up perfectly, though.
There we were, at the end of an 11-month journey from engagement to “I do.” As we lazily swayed to the music, we were experiencing that strange mix of exhaustion and not wanting it to end. I remember being very present in this moment and feeling like we were the only two people there.
The music finished and our guests lined up with their bells to send us off into the night. They rang us all the way to the car that was waiting to take us home.
We quietly held hands all the way home. Our big day was over and we were married.
