…My Girls!
Let me start by explaining that I have the two most wonderful sisters. They are my best friends, and I can’t imagine my wedding (or any other significant moment in my life) without them standing next to me.

Shopping - it’s what we do best.
Sister A was the first of us to get married. We briefly tossed around the idea of rotating maid-of-honor duties but we all agreed that we didn’t want to be maid-of-honor for just one our sisters, and we didn’t want just one of our sisters to be our maid-of-honor. So the decision was made that we would each have two co-maids-of-honor. After all, double the maids of honor, double the fun!

My sisters aren’t twins but they would look darn cute on a tandem bicycle!
I introduce you to MOH K:

Yes, that is a chick on her head.
She loves Aerosmith, all things cute and furry, and cupcakes with a frosting to cake ratio of at least 2:1. She is incredibly creative, ambitious and passionate, and the best oldest sister in the world.

Yes, that is a chick on her head too. It is a family tradition!
She loves Christmas, chocolate, and books (as long as they are arranged alphabetically, of course). I am constantly amazed by her intelligence and compassion. She is the best older-but-not-oldest sister in the world.
Along with two terrific MOHs, I will also have two outstanding bridesmaids.
I introduce you to Bridesmaid M:
Bridesmaid M and I met and became inseparable our freshman year of high school. The first time she was introduced to my parents, she said to them “Hi, I’m M. I’m Lauren’s new best friend.” Right she was! We have shared endless laughter and countless memories, and been there for each other through the ups and downs of growing up.

Freshman year at Vandy - One of our first nights out together
Bridesmaid E and I met during pre-orientation freshman year of college (in fact she was there the first time I ever met Mr. Dalmatian). We have traveled the world together and watched every Friends episode ever made. She is an amazing person and an amazing friend.
With such an awesome bridal party, I knew that I had to do something special to formally ask them to be in our wedding… even though I already had a hunch what their answers would be.
A couple of months after MOH A got engaged, she delivered this to me:
Along with this beautiful card came a ridiculously cute cut-out she made of her bridal party!
It was absolutely adorable and it meant so much to me that she had taken the time to make it… even though she probably already had a hunch what my answer was going to be.
So off I went to Michaels equipped with my weekly coupons (let’s all pause for moment and appreciate the joy of 40% off any one regular price item). Mr. Dalmatian came along, and I was a little worried about him being bored since he is not quite as easily enthralled by the endless scrapbook paper options as I am. He was a great sport though—he found a ladder in one of the aisles, took a seat, started playing Angry Birds and was good to go. I ran around the store, occasionally returning to his aisle to ask if $5 was too much to pay for stickers (unfortunately his answer was always yes).
Now, I promised the vintage keys I had discovered in my Save-the-Date search would find a place in my wedding planning - well this is it! I decided if I used the phrase “Your role is key” then they would work perfectly for my Will You Be My Bridesmaid cards.
After adding a couple of packs of keys to my basket and spending an inordinate amount of time selecting papers, I was ready to check out!
If you have not yet heard, patience is not my strong suit. So as soon as we got home I started assembling the cards. I wanted the words to look cuter than my everyday handwriting, so I found some fonts on DaFont.com (talk about being enthralled by countless options), and used these as a guide to hand-write the cards.

I sent four cards and got four yeses so I suppose that makes this my first successful DIY project! Fun fact: apparently both yeses and yesses are acceptable for the plural form of yes, in case you were wondering.
Is anyone else having more than one maid of honor? How did you ask your girls to be in your bridal party?
