You guys are pretty hard to fool. In my last post, I was telling you how torn I was between two photographers…and you immediately zoomed in on who I picked! You win!

I was literally about to sign up with Ed Pingol, but I kept going back to Tim Willoughby’s site and staring at his photos in awe as the Little Miss Sunshine music played. Mr. Funnel Cake had started scoffing every time he heard the music start and looked over to see my guilty face. I was so torn between the two styles…so I turned to my design girlies and asked them who they preferred…hands down Timwill!

I wrote Ed back that I had changed my mind and I immediately booked Tim. With images like these, it’s a wonder I ever looked further after landing on his site. Here is just a smattering of his amazing work.

It’s like a dream. Tim’s work is…art.

His photos have such a real nostalgia, I feel like they are timeless heirlooms as soon as he captures the image. The photo above is from 2011 and I can hardly believe it.

Tim also always seems to capture the “it” moments so well. Some photos like below, I just wonder how he was there in that moment to take it. The crowd, the lighting, the kiss…it’s all so perfect.

Can I also say I really dig Tim’s group-photo style? I’m am not all about the forced group posing. I love how natural all of his group photos look. You can tell everyone is standing there to have their picture taken, but he manages to also take in the scenery, the background, the space. These photos are about these people there at that moment in time.

I honestly still get the chills every time I look his site up to see if there is new material. I listen to that intro song again as I look through his photos over and over, and it makes me so excited for our day. Maybe this music is my wedding mantra?

So in the end, maybe I am that girl who fell for the cheesy music on the flash site, but it doesn’t matter to me now. I love, love, loooove our photographer and that’s what’s important, right?
