Gifting Some Blingy

Gifting Some Blingy : wedding atlanta bridesmaid gift Skunk skunk

I went a little overboard when it came to buying for the girls. But I keep thinking of things I want to do. So first of all, I’m paying for their cabin the night before and the night of the wedding. I’m also paying to have their hair done ’cause I felt weird about having someone travel all the way up to just do my hair. I know it’s silly, but I get attention guilt and tend to buy my way out of it…

Next up is a small bag I got from Target that I’ve filled with a bunch of cheapy, but necessary, day-of essentials. Top row is Bath & Body Works lotion and bath gel and a lint roller. Middle row is Kleenex and Q-tips. Bottom row is Tic Tacs (for their stank breath), Chapstick, and a Luna bar to keep ’em going.

On the right is a bag I snagged from the dollar bins for all of this stuff.

Next up is a brown cardigan. I’m a little worried about the weather for the wedding weekend, and I wanted to make sure the ladies’ arms are covered in case it ends up being cold. Do you know how hard it is to find a simple dark brown cardigan for a decent price??? Let’s just say it’s taken months of internet scouring, outlet shopping, and checking Target about once a week. I finally found it! And the best part—$15 on sale!

And finally, jewelry. I bought these beautiful pieces back when we bought my wedding band. If you recall, I had a Scoutmob deal for 50% off my entire purchase up to $500. My band didn’t fully hit that mark, so I figured I’d look around, and I managed to find pieces for each gal.

The top left is for BM C. Bear because she tends to be simple and refined. She does, after all, come from family in Chahlston (Charleston, with the correct accent). Top right is for BM J. Snake because she’s definitely a little crazier. She’ll be wearing the yellow dress and, while the picture doesn’t do it justice, these gems are orange and yellow. Bottom left is for MOH L. Bug. When I first went to look at wedding bands, L. Bug was with me and pointed out this piece. She LOVES (caps required) trees. She even has a tree tattoo. I knew this had to happen. And finally, bottom right is for BM C. Koala. These are smoothed down lava rocks, and they’re beautiful. C. Koala also has a tattoo on her wrist that she doesn’t love and tries to keep it covered.

I can’t wait for the girls to open their gifts. I’ve already got everything wrapped up and sitting in a corner of my living room! Sure, it’s still three weeks out, but shit fire, let’s get this party started!
