Where Everybody Knows Your Name : wedding decor indianapolis 1 1

Back home again in Indiana! I’ll tell you all about the family shower soon!

My advice for now to everyone who will ever plan a wedding is to rummage through the houses of your relatives. Chances are they would be more than happy to give or loan you some items.

You might find those old books you were thinking of using as  centerpieces:

Or more mason jars than you could dream of uses for:

And much MUCH more -at least if your family is anything like mine!

Has anyone else found great items at a relative’s house? Where else should a bride be on the lookout for items?

I love the idea of using antique, mismatched glass jars for candy buffets!

You are so right, Raccoon! Mr. P and I were searching high and low for lots of vintagey goodness–turns out his stepmom had a ton of great stuff, and she was totally willing to let us borrow it! Thanks to her, we had a lot of awesome vintage books, blue mason jars, and galvanized watering cans at our wedding. Oh, and a really awesome old Pepsi crate to hold our favors. I LOVED that!
