Miss Fox's Picture
Miss Fox, Washington DC/Havre de Grace, MD Age and Occupation: 26, Massage Therapist Fiance's Age and Occupation: 28, Field Support Engineer Engagement Date: April 18, 2010 Wedding Date: June 2012 Venue: Vandiver Inn About Me: I’m a dancer turned massage therapist who was born and raised in New York. Alas, true love has brought me “south” where I still maintain my penchants for pretty shoes, wine, crossword puzzles, cherry blossoms, and the Mets. I own more sunglasses than a normal person should and don’t eat red meat (though I make up for it by eating my weight in sushi). I tend to be a big planner who likes to get things started early, but generally end up being indecisive and procrastinating when it comes down to it. I have a (not so) secret crush on Chris Carrabba, but my loyalty and love ultimately goes to the future hubs, of course! Together, my Foxy man and I love to discuss (read: debate) politics and current events, have Mario Kart and Scrabble duels, and just laugh. A lot. We’re hoping and planning for a laid back, fun, summery, rustic vibe to our June wedding that will be genuinely “us” – that is, if we finally make some decisions. Huzzah!
About Miss Fox

And Again

October 19th, 2011 @ 9:40 am by Miss Fox

We’ve already established that I’m officially THE MOST indecisive person ever.

Yes, I’m referring to our save the dates. Again.

When we last left off, I thought I came up with something that could definitely work.

Then I changed my mind. And I changed it again.

And again.

I was left with a new set of options, all of which I created based on examples I had seen around the interwebs. Foxy was about ready to kill me and my waffle-y behavior. I mean, who’s really going to care about these besides me? Here I am, wanting it to be fun and spunky and different, when really? A nice postcard would do. And I needed to accept that.

But on to the goods. The newer set of STD options.

Option 1

And Again : wedding diy havre de grae save the dates stationery Std101 std101

Option 2

And Again : wedding diy havre de grae save the dates stationery Std3 std3

Option 3

And Again : wedding diy havre de grae save the dates stationery Std2 std2

The first two would just be cards, put in an envelope and mailed out. The last one would be a 5 x 7 postcard (hence requiring one of my awesome forever stamps) printed on metallic card stock. I would have loved for it to have rounded corners, but apparently you can’t have rounded corners on postcards..?!

Or I thought I could just go back to square one and do a different version of that fun magnet photo-booth-style thing I came up with.

And Again : wedding diy havre de grae save the dates stationery Std102 std+102

I really just needed to make up my mind. But I’m just so bad at it!

I hate the post office and their silly rules sometimes. No round corners? Whaa? My personal favorites are #1 and the photo strip :) Hope that helps a little…

I really like the first one! And the photo strip. Both are tres cute.

BTW, not to be super-weird, but I love reading your posts because you remind me a lot of me, down to our indecisiveness and red hair. And your FI looks just like my DH. Same head shape, facial structure, nose, facial hair and coloring. They could be siblings.

I am partial to numbers 1 and 2 but I wish that you could do your awesome photobooth idea with your cool new farmers market pictures. I love the timeless-ness feel in those pictures. Sooo sweet! If it comes down to it, pick the one that you keep going back to. If you find that you can’t leave it behind then that must be “the one.” Good luck darling!

I like the first one the best! The photo booth one would probably be my second choice. I can see why you are having trouble deciding - you have lots of good options!

Ohhh, I really like #1 and #2! But they’re all great, so I can see why this decision is so hard to make!

Totally loving your posts, and I’ll tell ya why:
1) You were considering Brookside Gardens. I live like 3 miles from there.
2) You go to the Silver Spring Farmers Market (& took some of your pics there!) See above - I rep that place too.
3) Not a $40k wedding budget? Check.
4) Low-key wedding? Hollering atcha, girl.
5) Worrying about spread out ladies for the bachelorette/bridal shower? Ditto.
6) Spring 2012 wedding. Done.

Though, I gotta say having your wedding at a place w/ food really burst my bubble, as I was hoping to see your caterer thoughts. Oh well. Seriously loving having a bee in the area to read about, though! Cheers!

Oh, and could you combine the photo strip & #1 option? So that it looks like 3 photo strips pasted next to each other with all the info along the bottom or scattered through some of the pics? Hard to describe, but my visual is awesome. Trust me.

I like the first one the best! (Maximizing the number of engagement photos used makes their per cost drop, right? Right?) #2 is also good, but I’m not crazy about the white space in the top right.

I love the style of #2-so modern! But #1 definitely features a lot more super adorbs pics of you guys. I really should only suggest one, considering the whole post is about how you’re indecisive. I’m sure I’m not helping with MY indecisiveness. Oh well!

It sounds like you guys love #1.. that was Foxy’s favorite too!
@FutureMrsMcK: So weird about all the similarities, especially with FI’s! So happy you enjoy reading. :))
@cancanny: So happy you’re loving them!! And I’m really missing the SS Farmer’s Market.. we recently moved and are no where near as close anymore and it’s a bummer. Loving your 3 photo strip idea..
@Miss Mole: Totally right!! ;)
