I have heard of cotton balls. I have heard of cotton dresses. I have heard of cotton candy. I have heard of Mrs. Cotton Candy. But cotton bouquets? This was something that took me by surprise!
What a pleasant surprise it was! I was instantly enamored with how soft and natural they look, and I love how they are so unique yet still carry the shape of a classic bouquet. Don’t you just want to rub it against your cheek? Nope, just me?
Here are a couple more cheek-rubbing-worthy bouquets:

STUNNING, are they not? In my search for these whimsical masterpieces, I quickly learned that the men do not need to be left out! Turns out cotton makes some pretty sweet boutonnieres as well.
Not into cotton-ing up the wedding party? I also came across some pretty striking décor that incorporated this fluffy plant. Check it out:

Now that I have indulged myself with a little eye (cotton) candy, let’s get down to business. As much as I clearly love cotton as part of the floral design, I ran into a few barriers when trying to use it on our day. First, our color scheme is bright and happy. Flowers seem like an excellent way to bring in vivid and cheerful colors, which unfortunately doesn’t include the soft white of cotton. Second, our wedding is in the spring. I have no idea if cotton has a season, but to me it just screams woodsy fall wedding, or possibly winter wonderland.
While I don’t know that we will be able to incorporate these cotton wonders, I will maintain a love for their soft prettiness. Somebody please use cotton florals and share pictures so I can live vicariously through you!
Has anyone used cotton in their wedding?
