MOH K had been amazingly patient and tried on MANY dresses for me. Unfortunately, even my favorites among them calmly stated “pretty good” as opposed to screaming “perfect!” Despite my desire to make a decision and move on to the next task, pretty good was simply not good enough.
Enter Kate Spade. You may recall that my shoes are Kate Spade. She has rapidly become my biggest designer weakness. I just love how everything is so classy and still so fun! In fact, one of her dresses had been the subject of an email I sent to my mom that read, “The Perfect Bridesmaids’ Dress.” Yes, that’s right—I used the P-word! Unfortunately, the price tag on this amazing little number was not quite as pretty as the lovely floral fabric.

Given the crazy-high price, I tried to forget about the gorgeous Wynne and move on. Zooey Deschanel, who I freakin’ love, did not help the situation when she wore the dress to the Winnie the Pooh premiere. Let’s all take a moment to appreciate that she wore Wynne to see Winnie. Probably not intentional, but I was amused!

Enter the extremely generous Mama Dalmatian. She ordered one of the dresses so that I could have my sisters try it on, and told me that if it was really the perfect dress, we could go from there and try to make it work. I told you she was an enabler!

I really loved it in person. MOHs A and K liked it too, although there was some concern about the placement of the pockets not being the most flattering.
In my browsing of the Kate Spade website (be warned: this is a very dangerous activity), I had also seen another beautiful little number. While it wasn’t a print, it felt very special and just a little bit different. Plus, it was a STUNNING bright pink color! I also think it fits with our clean-cut vintage style.

So, at the end of our long day of bridesmaids’-dress shopping, we headed over to the Kate Spade store (also a very dangerous activity) to reexamine Wynne and try on Jillian. When MOH K put on Jillian, I realized we had finally found a dress that screamed “perfect!” I loved the bow, I loved the pink, I loved the shape, and I loved it was less expensive than Wynne. MOH K and Mama agreed, and when I emailed a picture to MOH A, she wrote back that this dress was just SO ME. Woohoo! We found bridesmaids’ dresses!
I’ll leave you with a couple more pics of the front and back.
