Start Spreading the News!

Hello all! Since all of our the save the dates that will be mailed are out, I thought I’d share!

Start Spreading the News! : wedding indianapolis save the dates stationery Our Std our-std

We still have a few to hand deliver and then a few more to electronically deliver. These are for our friends we were unable track down addresses for. It’s true, but it’s also code for “we ran out.”

Between all of my family’s changes to the guest list and my writing nonsensical addresses from staring at the numbers too long, our order of plenty was not enough. I have learned my lesson—always order even more than you think is enough and then some!

We decided to go with postcards because they’re kind of in your face as soon as you check the mail. It’s just an added perk that postage is significantly less.

Vistaprint was nice enough to make these for us. If you need anything printed, they run fantastic deals regularly.

Where are you getting your save the dates from?

We had a enough additions to the guest list after I ordered our first batch of STDs that I had to order a second. Snapfish had a 50% off sale the first time. Wish I’d ordered more, too.

Those look great! I love the point that they are in your face when you get them in the mail, haha. I also love Vistaprint - we didn’t use them for our save the dates but I have taken advantage of some of their crazy sales for other things!

They’re so cute! I love the picture you chose (and that you’re sending one to Mickey and Minnie).

@dinajean: Yikes! Let me know if you find anything to do with your extras! I know I’ve seen people make cute things with invitations like framed art or turn them into holiday ornaments.

@Miss Teacup: Thanks! I think the post card stamps are really pretty! We lucked out that they looked coordinated to our engagement pictures. We just had the same stroke of luck with our invites too! The post office is selling their holiday stamps now and the evergreen line was perfect.
