Save the dates were unheard of among my family until about three weeks ago. We wanted to be sure to let everyone know that a more formal invitation will be heading their way in a bit. Personally, I think save the dates are a great idea! They’re a good heads up and give guests plenty of time to make travel and lodging arrangements if they need to.

The great internet says it’s nice if the save the dates match the rest of your wedding. What better way is there to tie your save the dates to the rest of your wedding than by having a picture of the soon-to-be bride and groom on it? The Raccoons went for it!

Mr. P and I also used Wedding Paper Divas for our save the dates, and we loved how they turned out! They were perfect for us! I can’t wait to see what yours look like.

It took 5 hours to shoot and ended up being 4 minutes, but our guests are going wild over it. Its all university themed, since we met at university, and studied our undergrad and postgrad there! Plus, an electronic save the date is soooo much easier than sending out cards!
