About Miss Petit Four

I absolutely love the look of burlap incorporated into the decor at weddings. It has been the object of my inspiration affection for months now. Since we are four months away from the wedding, details like these are finally starting to come into play.

But burlap on the beach? Can it be done? To me, burlap has a really rustic, country feel to it and I tried Googlin’ pictures of weddings on the beach that had burlap, but I didn’t come up with anything as striking as these pictures…

I just about lost it when I saw that adorable burlap bunting! I am totally going to try to do that, by the way. This weekend I am going to head to a fabric store (do you get burlap at a fabric store?) and get myself a couple of yards of burlap and start experimenting.

Are you using burlap? How do you think it looks at the beach?

I totally think burlap works with the beach! My SIL used it as table runners for her lake wedding and it was lovely. It will be beautiful!

I’m doing burlap, yay! We got ours at Joann’s, and it’s relatively cheap. I think burlap would be awesome at the beach!!

We had our wedding in Cabo San Lucas and used burlap for our aisle runner and as a table runner. We also included it in our invitation so it all tied in. If you’re interested, I can message you some pictures!

I think it looks good anywhere, in a barn, in a mansion or on a beach. Rock it out. The best part is you can get colored burlap now…www.onlinefabricstore.net has great prices and tons of colors.

I think you can make it work anywhere. Also, how is this even a question? Burlap = Sand for the table! In a non-gritty-in-food way! Totally matches the environment.

I love burlap, and it would definitely work for the beach, I can’t wait to see what you do with it!

We used burlap from JoAnns. Got it on sale, too. We cut big circles and put them underneath our centerpieces. I think it’ll look great on the beach, and the extra texture creates depth.

I had a beach wedding and we used burlap for our reception decor (which was inside but seriously 5 steps from waves). A lot of carolina coast brides seem to be using it you might check out southern weddings or millie holloman photography’s blogs to see some more inspiration photos. We used burlap for our table runners over white linens. Instead of buying it from a fabric store we ordered it online from a landscape company. it came on a roll, was pre cut to about 9ish inches wide and was SUPER easy to roll out and cut to our desired length. i also think the roll would be easy to use for bunting instead of dealing with a mass of fabric.

Burlap on the beach totes works. It’s a very laid back and casual feel.
