Flower Power for the Girls

November 11th, 2011 @ 5:05 am by Miss Dalmatian

After sharing my inspiration for a bridal bouquet, I got a little distracted by the completion of our save-the-dates (okay, I confess that not all of them are addressed yet, but they are all assembled!), but it’s time now to get back to pretty, colorful flowers!

The package we have selected from our venue includes 3 bridesmaids bouquets. Now, you may recall that I have 4 lovely bridesmaids. Luckily, our venue was willing to accommodate this and told us that they could make 4 bouquets, they would just have to be on the small side. We’ll take it!

I didn’t want to deny my bridesmaids of beautiful bouquets, but the more I looked at inspiration pictures, the more I realized that size doesn’t matter (insert inappropriate joke/comment of your choice here). Look at these darling bouquets that are small in size and huge in charm:

Love. Love. Love. Just as with bridal bouquets, I was once again drawn to brightly colored wildflowers. A friend of mine who recently got married had some gorgeous bridesmaids bouquets of a similar style. While I think we are sticking with multi-colored flowers for everyone, I did think it was super cute that each of her girls carried a different color.

And for just one more little piece of delectable floral inspiration, check out these truly stunning bouquets that I came across. Can you say perfect? I’m obsessed.

Are your bridesmaids carrying flowers? If so, will they match the bridal bouquet or be a different style?

I think we might do our own flowers. Mine will be one of our colors, and the maids will have the other color. I do love love love wildflowers, but I can’t seem to find many in maroon or orange. Your inspirations are dreamy!

I think I want a different style. I’m not sure, but I am DIY it. I am loving the wild flowers, I still have my mind to make up and a lot of works to do. Thanks for sharing your inspirations. <3 it!

Beautiful! Our florist put together an all-white bouquet for me, and the girls had colorful bouquets ot hot pink spray roses, light pink lisianthus, and yellow button mums. They were gorgous! I’d always seen myself carrying a colorful bouquet, but I ended up loving the timeless class of the all-white bride bouquet. They wrapped my stems in gray ribbon overlaid with lace, and theirs in marigold ribbon. LOVE.

My bridesmaids carried flowers, but they were quite different from my bouquet. I almost liked their bouquets more than mine, they were so fun.

Beautiful bouquets! (I think the first one is my favorite!) I’m planning on having my bridesmaids carry bouquets of the same flowers in color (with mine being white)…Unless I change my mind, which I’ve been known to do once or twice…

My bridesmaids are carrying something similar, but different than mine. I love your inspiration pictures, smaller bouquets look absolutely stunning!

Such beautiful bouquets! I love looking at inspiration photos of flowers! My bouquet was all red, while theirs were all white - I loved the contrast!

@Future Army Wife: Ooh, I bet maroon and orange will look so good!
@Mrs. Ladyfingers: Sounds gorgeous! Love the ribbon and lace.
@Miss Hawk: Haha, no worries - I definitely have been known to change my mind too :)
@Miss Doe: thanks!

The baby daisy bouquet is actually one of my inspo pics! So dainty but so cute at the same time. I’m totally digging your friend’s idea with the different color bouquets.. definitely unique!

We’ll likely be doing some take on a baby’s breath bouquet for the ladies, which will be vastly different from mine. Why? 1. Cost. 2. It may make mine stand out a little more!

They’re carrying flowers, and they are super beautiful. We just got a sample floral arrangement from our florist and I was so pleased. I can’t wait to see what flower choices you come up with for your girls!
