As you saw from my last single girl post, I woke up bright and early on the morning of our wedding. My mum, Bridesmaid M, and I headed down for a nice stroll to the beach in the crisp morning air (Maid of Honour A is definitely not a morning person!). We also had another friend join us for the walk: my parents’ next door neighbour’s dog, Lawson. He loves going for walks, especially when he has a few friends to join him. It still didn’t feel like our wedding day; it was starting to feel a little like my birthday or Christmas though…we were getting there!

We headed back to Mum and Dads’ where Mum was starting to cook up a feast of a breakfast—yum! Great food to keep me going until lunch!

I wrote my last single lady post, thought my teaspoon joke was hilarious and before I knew it, it was time for a shower. Melinda and Mandy, my wonderful hair and makeup girls then arriced. Still, sitting there getting my hair and makeup done with my wedding dress hanging in the hallway, it didn’t feel like wedding day…

Everything was very relaxed at this point, and we were all sitting back with cups of tea and plenty of water. Then the flowers arrived…

Married hive members: how long did it take you on the day of your wedding to REALLY feel like you were getting married? Did it hit you instantly when you woke up?

You’re too cute. I didn’t feel like it was wedding day until I got my hair and makeup done and the veil got put on my head.

I think it was when I put my veil on and it completed my look. I didn’t feel I was getting married until then. I also loved the fact that I wasn’t hurried that day. My make up artist was an hour late and by the time she came, I didn’t want her to hurry so there was nothing I could do I should mention that she did a GREAT job!

Lawson did not want to stand still for a photo - he was too excited that he had an extra 3 friends joining him on his morning walk!

Breakfast was delicious! Energy food!

Oh that breakfast looks so good….. I’m regretting the cereal I just ate and thinking I should have had that instead!

I didn’t feel like a bride until the veil was put in my hair… that was when I had my ‘oh my goodness, I’m getting married today!’ moment.

When the flowers arrived that morning from my future husband it hit me! I was nervous the rest of the day until I put my dress on! I don’t know why, but after reading his card it made it all real!
