Jewelry For The Wedding

November 17th, 2011 @ 11:40 am by Mrs. Raccoon

I picked out my wedding jewelry! Jewelry was another area where I didn’t have too strong of an opinion. I wear silver colored jewelry much more than I wear yellow gold colored jewelry and long and heavy earrings hurt and pull down my earlobes. That’s about all I knew, but I think it’s important to be comfortable with and confident about the accessories you’re wearing.

Plan A was to borrow pieces from my mother but I was having trouble coming up with a complete look I liked. While at the mall tonight, there was a stack of flyers at JC Penney for $10 off a purchase. There’s no harm in looking, right?

I left with a necklace and earrings and couldn’t be happier! Between sales and the flyer, I was able to get $75 of just what I wanted for $30. The earrings are even lightweight and re-wearable.

Are you leaning towards statement pieces or keeping your accessories classic? Did you have a hard time choosing your wedding day jewelry?

I haven’t begun to really think about my wedding jewelry too concretely at this point, but I LOVE what you found. Gorgeous!

Very pretty! I wore super heavy earrings for the ceremony that were “statement” pieces, I think, but no necklace. That said, they were too heavy for me to dance in(!) so I had a lighter pair of earrings that I wore at the reception.

I’m keeping it simple- a small diamond necklace from my grandmother, my mother’s diamond stud earrings, and that’s probably it, other than my rings.

That set is really pretty though.

Those are very pretty and will work well as non-wedding jewelry.
