Meeting the Ferris Wheels!

November 21st, 2011 @ 12:58 pm by Mrs. Jaguar

What do you get when you mix together a Teaspoon, a Jaguar and a Ferris Wheel? One super-lovely bee meet up, held down under in Sydney-town, that’s what!

As soon as I read that Ms. Ferris Wheel was coming to Australia for her honeymoon, I remember getting really excited. We’d been talking about meeting up for months, and all of a sudden… it was November. Huzzah! During that time, Mrs. Teaspoon was also introduced as a new Sydney blogger, so we decided the more the merrier!

I snuck away after work and collected the Ferris Wheels from Featherdale Wildlife Park in Sydney on a dreary grey Thursday. Upon meeting them, I kind of tackle hugged them and then whisked them away to have an early dinner— presenting them with a Caramello Koala each and a toy wombat. Isn’t that every tourist to Australia wants? :D

The lovely Mrs. Teaspoon was patiently waiting for us at the restaurant, and so began an evening of general merriment and uh-freaking-mazing food. (Aussies, we took them to Hogs Breathe Cafe.) Can I just say how absolutely gorgeous both of these ladies are? It was such a pleasure to meet them.

I have to say… Mr. Ferris Wheel was such a great sport during our dinner. Not many guys would be keen to give up a part of their honeymoon to watch their new wife chatter away for hours with fellow wedding-happy ladies, but he was a perfect gentleman about it all. He took cute photos, too! KISS THE WOMBAT.

Both being a blogger and a boards member on Weddingbee have been amazing experiences on their own—but getting to meet other like-minded (and so friendly) people because of it is just plain awesome. Here’s to wishing the Ferris Wheels an amazing experience for the rest of their honeymoon and to Weddingbee meet-ups everywhere!

That is awesome! The wombat kissing pic is hilarious! Bravo, Mr. Ferris Wheel for being a good sport (and I assume photographer)!

I’m already dreaming up ways to meet up with Miss Hawk, who lives an hour away.

SO. MUCH. FUN! We’re still talking about how wonderfully lovely and nice you two are, and how great it was to meet up with y’all. Plus the food and drinks really were amazing. (Still owe you some serious money for that, Jags!) Hopefully one day we’ll be able to do it again. :-)
