I may be a bit of a drama queen, but I’m not exaggerating when I tell you that our first look was one of the most intense moments of my entire life. Have you ever felt like your face was going to explode and you simultaneously couldn’t catch your breath or feel your extremities? That just about sums it up.
I cried and sniffled and smeared my freshly done makeup all over myself (and Mr. Jam’s white shirt) for longer than I care to admit. Nothing could have prepared me for the cry-fest that was about to go down. I’m omitting the hundreds of scary cry-face photos for now; you’re welcome.
But then I stopped blubbering and started laughing, which was a heck of a lot more fun.

Remember how pumped I was about my budget-friendly wedding sandals? Well…these aren’t them. I wore that first pair so much pre-wedding that they were too dirty and loved to wear with my white dress, so I picked these up for $10 the day before the wedding at a Shoe Dept.
Then I wore these so much post-wedding, I broke the straps. Sheesh.

We finished up our emotional pre-wedding photo sesh by taking a few pictures on Mr. Jam’s dad’s Harley. Not only did it majorly increase our cool factor, but I used to spend hours riding on the back of Mr. Jam’s motorcycle in our early years, all while telling my parents I didn’t. But now that I’m an old married lady, I can finally rid myself of this secret: YES, I DID RIDE ON A MOTORCYCLE WITH A BOY. IT WAS REALLY SCARY.
Whew, that felt better.
