I didn’t plan on jumping right into inspiration posts, but early in our engagement there was exciting news from one of my favorite brands that just needed to be shared! A few months ago, Kate Spade New York introduced Wedding Belles (and whistles), a collection including dresses, shoes, jewelry, handbags, and other accessories.

How do I love this new collection? Let me count the ways…

I guess it’s first important to discuss my love for this brand. Although I have been (woefully) restrained in purchasing from Kate, I am constantly attracted to her bright colors, polka-dotted patterns, and unique handbags. My shiny pink Stacy wallet is a bright spot in any purse and was so loved that I purchased a coordinating striped pink case for my iPhone. (I was going through a pink phase at the time.) So though my Kate collection is fairly limited beyond this, I have spent countless hours on their site, many times going as far as placing items in the basket before I stop, close the browser, and sadly walk away.

But if there’s one time to splurge a little…it’s your wedding, right? So here’s my current “love” wish list from the Wedding Belles collection.

They also have featured some fabulous dresses on the bridesmaid section of the site, but many would work for a bride as well (bridal shower, engagement party, etc.). Kate Spade is known for bright colors, so you’re sure to make a statement. And hey, you can totally wear them again (famous last words).

Let’s talk shoes. I am very much into the idea of fancy shoes hidden beneath my wedding dress and expect I may purchase my most expensive shoes to date for the big event. Kate Spade has incredibly imaginative and colorful shoes—their bridal portfolio is no different. However, the color selection is a bit limited at this point (and only one was within our wedding color palette). As for white or ivory shoes, I’m not sold on them unless they make a statement!

If you are ready to pick your wedding-day jewelry, the Wedding Belles collection has some very bold pieces. Since I haven’t even had a dress fitting, jewelry is the furthest thing from my mind. However, these necklaces are fun and whimsical and could be worn at any time before the wedding…or even on the day of!

Wedding Belles also has honeymoon pieces, but I’m not quite there or ready to peruse that collection yet! Maybe one of these cold winter days on the horizon will change my mind. Granted, I will have to save my pennies to afford ANY of the Kate Spade collection pieces…but a girl can dream!
