About Mrs. Zebra

Video via YouTube / Song performed by Bob Marley

I know I said previously that I’m not a lyrics girl. However, I thought Bob Marley’s Three Little Birds had a beautiful message. I have a rotten tendency to be a bit of a worrier. Zeb’s a go with the flow everything will be all right guy. What a better mantra for our marriage?

Don’t worry, about a thing, cause every little thing is gonna be all right.

I often remember this song when things get a little difficult. It’s put me back in perspective countless times.

And, I mean c’mon, Bob Marley and cake go together like lamb and tuna fish.

I now introduce you to the many, many faces of Mrs. Zebra…

There she is in all her Guinnessey Chocalatey/ Chocolatey Cookieley scrumdiddlyumtious glory. I can’t wait to get my hands on that fresh anniversary cake compliments of Sin Desserts.

It was a bit more difficult to cut through the cake than expected. I wanted that Guinness Chocolate Cake dammit!

For the entirety of our engagement I made sure to drive home to Zeb that I would not be tolerating any cake smashing. You see, Zeb has a tendency to underestimate his strength and trajectory often resulting in an injury… for me. I certainly didn’t want him to accidentally give me a bloody nose. If you remember the story of how we met, it involved paper cuts IN MY EYE!

He was a good boy though and gently fed me my first sweet as a married woman—the first of many sweets, as I transitioned from married to married and pregnant. Where’s the chocolate?

I totally thought about mutiny and smashing the cake in his face but knew the battle would not end there. So I decided to play nice and feed him his cake as gently as he did mine.

Good music goes with everything!

I’m of the “no cake smashing” mindset. I love cake. I hate wasting cake. :)

You’re facial expressions are priceless. I’ve also enacted a similar “no cake smashing rule”. I’m hoping that Mr. H sticks to it…

I smashed cake in my hubs face after he was all nice to me; I just can’t control myself.

Hahaha I love the many faces of Mrs. Zebra. Awesome. I’ve had a few talks about no cake smashing, but I’m not really sure FI is going to hold up his end of the bargain….
