Once again I have left you hanging—my bad. I explained my excitement of getting the phone call that my dress had arrived, but then I never shared photos of me in my dress. Granted, I shared photos of the sample gown, which luckily was remarkably similar to the final product, but for the sake of full disclosure here is a quick recap of the fashion show I had when my family came in town last month.

I must say, it was a very surreal feeling to be slipping into my dress.

With so much wedding planning going on it can be easy to go into auto-drive, but every once in awhile there is a moment when you get transported to the big day ahead, and you are swept away by the emotion of it all. Zipping up the zipper on MY dress, as in THE dress I will be wearing as I walk down the aisle to marry the man of my dreams, was one of these moments.

I don’t plan to make many alterations—just tighten the bodice a little bit so I am in there nice and snug, and perhaps run a iron over the ribbon!
