Something About Elopements…

December 21st, 2011 @ 6:23 am by Mrs. Opossum

…get me every time. They are romantic. They are whimsical. They are touching and personal. They are so much less stressful than planning a wedding. And they do NOT have to be devoid of style…

Check these out!

And finally, Marisa-Andrea on elopement via A Practical Wedding (a pretty darn awesome blog, by the way).

So in the words of Rascal Flatts…”Why wait another minute for something we should have done yesterday? I know a little church with a preacher who could hook us up right away! Love don’t need a reason and baby I don’t see how I could love you any more than I do today, so why wait?”

Pretty beautiful, huh?

We eloped and it was the best decision we ever made. :D Right after our engagement I wanted to elope but my husband didn’t. Once he saw all the work/ expense involved coupled with the fact that we were in the process of buying a house both working full time and running a small business he decided we should do it. ;) A pretty public garden gazebo on a Thursday morning in October don’t regret it wouldn’t have it any other way

@MeganTacky2247: Trust me… same here!!! There have been many conversations about getting a killer dress and driving off somewhere with a photographer that normally would have been way out of our budget. Our family would be pretty upset though…. so when my dad offered to help pay for a wedding I let go of that dream! Haha.
