OK, girls—I’ve made you wait for three whole posts to hear the final verdict! I told you last time that we found Perfect Day Ventures on Kijiji and liked what we saw on the website. We arranged to meet with the very sweet owner, Louise Muller, at a nearby Starbucks.

We were pretty much sold in the first 10 minutes of the meeting. We kept giving each other looks like “OK, we’re booking her!” throughout the meeting. (Don’t you love those looks where you know what your partner is thinking without saying a word?!) Louise was so professional and well put together, and was genuinely interested in our wedding. She had a strategic plan for wedding coordination, and her DOC services were actually more like MOC services. This was a big plus with Fiancee Eagle.

So: We DID book Louise the very next morning, and Fiancee Eagle was so relieved—bridal pressure diverted! And I can add more DIY projects without getting the side eye.

With our Perfect Day Ventures package, we got a lot of services! For under $1,000, we get:

Wedding Consultation:

• Unlimited consultations via telephone/email
• Discussion of theme, color, style, and complete wedding design
• Attendance at three vendor appointments of your choice
• Up to three hours of professional in-person consultation time throughout the planning process

Wedding Day Coordination:

• Visit to both ceremony and reception sites prior to wedding
• Development of a detailed wedding timeline and floor plan for contracted vendors and bridal party
• Full supervision of setup of church and venue prior to each beginning
• Ensure that the reception is on schedule and follows the developed timeline
• Supervision and communication with all hired vendors on the day
• Follow-up telephone calls to all contracted vendors one to two weeks before wedding day
• Ensure all vendors are paid on the wedding day, or prior, depending on their contract
• Wedding-rehearsal supervision (1.5 hours maximum)
• On-site coordination and supervision at the ceremony site and during the reception for up to 10 hours on the day of your wedding
• Safe-keeping of cash envelopes to be delivered to the couple on the day of their choice

This is an amazing deal. I knew we could find a passionate, reasonably priced DOC if we looked hard enough. We can’t wait to work with Louise. She is very professional, but also feels like a friend coordinating our wedding. Louise is super personable and answers our emails very quickly, which is something I really appreciate. A few months before our wedding, she is coordinating another wedding at the Lougheed House, which makes me SO HAPPY. She will already have our venue figured out, and I’m hopeful that it will make things run smoother. I think I can deal with a few SNAFUs on the wedding day, but I don’t know about Fiancee Eagle!
